Referral criteria

Neuropsychology assessments are designed to determine whether a person has problems with aspects of thinking such as memory as a result of neurological event such as ABI, neurological condition. Adults of 16 years and over are accepted.

Additional information

The majority of referrals come via secondary care e.g. Neurology.

All cases of suspected dementia in adults of 65 years and over should be referred to the CMHT using the Memory Assessment Pathway  in the first instance.

Refer via SCI Gateway...Mountainhall...Clinical Psychology...Psychology and choose Neuropsychology option.
